This is the last block in the Professional Level Environmental Course Programme; first 5 day block is the IOSH approved course: Managing Environmental Responsibilities. The second 5 day block is the IEMA approved Associate Certificate course.
The assessment consists of a 3 hour written examination and a practical workplace based environmental audit. The project and exam are weighted 25% and 75% respectively, and participants must achieve a pass standard in both parts to be awarded the diploma.
The NEBOSH Specialist Diploma in Environmental Management is Block 3 within the Professional Level Environmental Course Programme; therefore individuals wishing to sit the course must have completed Block 1 – IOSH Managing Environmental Responsibilities and Block 2 – IEMA Associate Certificate. A good command of the English language is essential.
The NEBOSH Diploma in Environmental Management runs for a total of 8 days. One 5 day block, One 3 day block usually delivered in two successive weeks.
Holders of the NEBOSH Diploma in Environmental Management can progress onto the University of Sunderland MSc in Environment Health and Safety.
The NEBOSH Diploma in Environmental Management does not give you membership of a professional body. However, upon completion you are entitled to use the post-nominal’s SpDipEM.
